Donation of IT Equipment to Tengréla High School
18 November 2024
As part of its program to support technological education in Ivory Coast, Semlex Ivory Coast, in collaboration with the Semlex For Education association, has donated IT equipment to the modern high school in Tengréla, in the northern region of Ivory Coast, to promote access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This donation, delivered on November 9, 2024, includes computers, UPS devices, power strips, notebooks, and printers, aimed at meeting the educational needs of the region’s youth.
During the handover ceremony, the Administrative and Financial Director of Semlex-CI, representing the General Manager, highlighted the importance of this initiative for the students of Tengréla, where access to IT equipment remains limited. “We know that during exams, students do not always have access to IT equipment. Many of them take theoretical courses without ever using a computer. With these resources, we hope they can deepen their knowledge and enhance their training,” he stated, emphasizing that this practical access represents a major asset in the educational journey of young people.
The school principal, Koné N’Gounourou Clément, expressed his deep gratitude for this donation, which he considers essential for improving students’ performance and preparing them for the demands of the modern world. “This support comes at the perfect time to help us train informed citizens capable of actively contributing to the development of our nation,” he added, noting that access to ICT is a key factor in steering young people away from harmful activities and offering them positive prospects.
Once again this year, this new CSR initiative will enable children in the Sahelian region of Ivory Coast to access tools adapted to the challenges of tomorrow.
